Get your jazz hands ready! On April 26, PCBB will perform a unique collection of beloved Big Band era classics from icons like Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Quincy Jones and many others, promising an entertaining concert of nostalgia and lively music. This dynamic group of 19 local musicians skillfully combine brass, horns, reeds, and rhythm to recreate the unmistakable sound of the Big Band era. A special Big Band version of "Stars and Stripes Forever", will be performed to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. Guest artist David Bourgeois will sing Ray Charles’ version of "America the Beautiful" and perform an incredible vocal-tap routine to "Singing in the Rain." Lakeland Players in Elkhorn, WI is pleased to present the musical Into the Woods. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
